AFFOA member IPC, the world’s leading trade association for the electronics manufacturing industry, has invited AFFOA and its members to collaborate on a three-presentation technical session on e-textiles for the technical conference at IPC APEX EXPO 2021. IPC APEX EXPO attracts more than 9,000 professionals from 45 countries. IPC has invited AFFOA to collaborate on this session in support of IPC’s e-textiles activities, some of which AFFOA members have participated in (e.g., standards development, IPC E-Textiles presenters, etc.).

The technical conference during IPC APEX EXPO 2021  is scheduled to take place January 26-28 at the San Diego Convention Center. Due to travel restrictions by some companies, IPC is accepting abstracts for virtual presentations, which we will broadcast into session rooms in San Diego.

The following are important deadlines as part of this process:

• Abstracts due August 31, 2020 – 300-words that summarize technical work, covering case histories, research and discoveries
• Acceptance/status of your submittal by September 30, 2020
• Technical papers (six pages or longer) due November 11, 2020 – Papers should be noncommercial and describe significant results from experiments, emphasize new techniques, discuss trends of interest and contain technical and/or appropriate test results.
• Presentations due December 9, 2020- Presentations will be limited to 30 minutes, which includes approximately 5 minutes for questions and answers.

Although the deadline for abstracts is August 31, we would appreciate your response to this call for abstracts as soon as possible.
