We are excited to welcome individuals to visit AFFOA headquarters and take a tour of our facilities. AFFOA team members will be on hand to give guided tours, technology demonstrations, and answer any questions you may have about the Institute's capabilities and focus areas.
The annual Executive Conference serves as the cornerstone of the SPESA event calendar every year. The two-day conference features a combination of keynote speakers, panel discussions, and industry case studies to provide an opportunity for attendees to both learn and engage.
AFFOA is proud to be a supporting organization for ITMA 2023. Owned by CEMATEX, ITMA is the place where the industry converges every four years to showcase the latest textile and garment processing technologies, machinery and materials, promote collaborations and forge partnerships. NextFlex will convene the hybrid electronics community for a one-day workshop at Binghamton University in New York on April 18 to focus on advancing hybrid electronics for industrial and medical applications. Visionary speakers will guide participants toward opportunities in both technology advancement and education and workforce development. The workshop will build on NextFlex’s ongoing efforts to advance additive electronics packaging technologies and will include a review of the hybrid electronics manufacturing roadmaps, the state-of-the-art achieved through funded development projects, manufacturing capabilities across the US, and the strategy behind the NextFlex education and workforce development programs. Finally, this workshop will provide opportunities to provide in-person feedback on PC 9.0 topics during member-only breakout sessions.
FEDTEX 24 objectives:
- Engage with existing contractors and attract new capable businesses into the federal and defense clothing, textiles, and tactical equipment marketplace.
- Engage existing textile supply chain suppliers and attract new capable businesses into the federal marketplace, and to connect these component suppliers with federal prime contractors.
- Inform the industrial and academic R&D ecosystem about desired future military technology requirements, and likewise inform DoD agencies about emerging and future textile innovations.
- Establish a productive and DIRECT dialogue between businesses, government, and academia around critical warfighter issues in the defense textile marketplace - including workforce, supply chain, inflation challenges, and barriers to entry.
